I'm in denial.  

Is it really the end of August already?? 

Summer is over.

Kids are back in school.    

Pumpkin spiced everything is about to hit the shelves.  

I am having a hard time with this.  

With September comes my sweet, sweet nephew's birthday.  

My sweet MICHAEL turns ONE! 

Last weekend we met to do his FIRST BIRTHDAY PICTURES! AHH!! 

There were overalls, books, toy puppies and CAKE! It was picture perfect... well, except for the RAIN! We planned on shooting at a park down the road from my brother's house, but the day was calling for lots of rain.  We did our best to shoot before the rain started... we got some shots in and then the skies opened.  

... but that story is to be continued in Michael's very own blog post.

Foggy Morning in the Park | Tampa Bay Family Photographer

I met up with the wonderful P family, for the first time, early one Saturday morning in December. 

It had been a while since I was out and shooting a sunrise session.  I was really looking forward to that yummy light!!! Mother Nature had other plans.  She covered the area in a thick blanket of fog that morning. 

But I must say... there is something MAGICAL about that blanket of fog.  

I loved their outfits and the way that the bright colors really POPPED!!! The girls' dresses were just delicious -- I wanted to eat them up!!  

best twirly dress award goes to.... 

ALWAYS, ALWAYS bring your child's lovey to your session.  The matted fur and the stitched up holes tell a story.  Your child's story.  And THAT is what I want to capture for you.  How loved is this sweet puppy??

This family has such wonderful chemistry...  

Mom & Dad ... and even Brother & Sister (although I'm sure they have their sibling moments -- they were really sweet with each other)... they just have a really great vibe about them.  The kids were so well behaved and had the best smiles! It was such a pleasure meeting this family and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Look close... notice anyone familiar? The last time I was taking pictures for this family was earlier this year for "A"s third birthday!! This time she's back and she brought along the rest of the family! Hooray for family session.  Little Miss "A" came to the session ready to give me her smiles and cheese it up for the camera, just like last time.  I swear, she's such a pro!  Mom prepared me before hand... "E doesn't smile for anyone".  All it took were a few animal noises and a couple games of peek-a-boo & I got him smiling just fine.  And such a handsome smile it was!!

These two are such a great couple! They have such fantastic chemistry and are just so fun to be around!! They were up for adventure and exploring one of my most favorite parks!! I always find myself shooting littles and not wanting to wander too far off the beaten path -- so much fun the stuff you can get into with adults! ;) 

And who says we don't have Fall in Florida???
I mean... we don't -- but this picture reminds me of Fall.  

2014 Holiday Mini Sessions | Tampa Bay Family Photographer

I know what you're thinking.  

Holiday? Really??? You just finished Back to School??? 

Yes.  Really.  

Holiday Mini Sessions will take place the evening of October 18th at Medard Park in Plant City, FL & the evening of October 25th at Redington Beach.  Four, 20 minute sessions will be booked each night.  Payment is due in full at booking to secure your session time.  Your session fee will include a password protected gallery with 15 artistically edited images.   From those 15, you will select your five favorite digital images to be downloaded.  Printing rights will be included with your downloads. 

All images will be available for digital download for an additional fee.  

All print products will be discounted for ONE WEEK after you receive your gallery.  

Book your session before September 3rd, 2014 and receive one FREE 8x10 print from your session.
