Back to School | Riverview Childrens Photographer

Alright y'all.  I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again.  Back to School Mini Sessions are my favorite.

As you know, Brooke from HAMILTON CREEK PHOTOGRAPHY and I teamed up again this year to offer BACK TO SCHOOL MINI SESSIONS again in the Winthrop Towne Village back in August.  And just like last year, we had a BLAST!!!

It was so wonderful meeting Ms. M!!! She was preparing for her first day of Kindergarten! How exciting!!! Brooke and I had so much fun making her giggle and watching her silly faces!!!
Hope you LOVED your first day of school sweet girl!!

Be sure to check out BROOKE'S BACK TO SCHOOL POST once you're done scrolling down here!

And of course, I can't help but shoot my favorite boys! Kalia is starting Kindergarten in the same school that they go to.  They said that they were going to be her "big brothers" and watch out for her during the school year! I couldn't be more excited for them to be in the same school.

Also, can we just discuss how much they have changed from LAST YEARS Back-to-School Session????

And my baby.
Starting Kindergarten this year.
I'm not sure I'm ready for this.
But I know that she is.

We have entered the "baby doll" phase.  I know other little girls catch on a little sooner -- we even tried the baby doll thing when Noa was in my belly, but it never stuck.  HOWEVER... there are now 3 or 4 baby dolls spread out over my living room at any given time.  Little is just as into them as Big is.  I wanted to make sure she brought her favorite, Ariel, for our session so I could remember her little arm cradling her baby forever.

AND....
Her first day.

Back-to-School Minis are BACK | Riverview Childrens Photographer

Do you have a little one entering kindergarten this year? Or are you just looking to photograph your kids in something other than their school uniform or boring backdrops, or like my kids' school not with the awful flashy backdrops this year? If you are, these are the perfect back-to-school mini-sessions for you. For the second year in a row Reilly Maguire Photography and HAMILTON CREEK PHOTOGRAPHY are teaming up for fun, colorful, and full of your kids' personality back-to-school portraits. These twenty minute mini-sessions are perfect for a custom photography session that is a less cost, while still providing amazing portraits and still having enough money for back-to-school supplies. Plus, we all know the memories of these pictures will last longer than the lunch boxes, backpacks and glue sticks!

The details:

$150 for one digital downloadable image with personal printing rights, and a $50 print credit for the session. Online proofing gallery of approximately 14 images will be available online for additional a la carte purchases, you may buy additional digital images at $50 each as well.

$250 for option two, if you know you will want to keep all the images as digital memories; receive your edited gallery images as a downloadable gallery with personal printing rights as well (does not include a print credit).

He or She? What will it be?? | Riverview Family Photographer

I have a confession.  I really, really love gender reveal sessions! Like LOVE.
I was so honored when the S family asked me to capture their reveal.  It's one thing when we are doing a special session to reveal the sex of your unborn child to your family & friends, but when you hire a photographer to capture the moment YOU find out takes it to another level.  It's so special.  J wanted to be surprised at her session, so she had her ultrasound done & brought me the results... WITHOUT PEEKING!!!! I don't know how she did that!!!

The rest was up to me.  They didn't have any specifics... they just wanted to show up & find out!!!

I'm kind of in love with the way it turned out.  Just sayin.

IT'S.... A...

BOY!!!!!

Baby Boy #2 is on his way!!!

Congratulations S Family!!! XOXO!!!

Grounded | Tampa Childrens Photographer

"My heart grows every day through struggling and love of my kids.  It helps balance everything else - the work and the world.  It helps keep me grounded and in perspective of what is really meaningful to me. " - Kathryn Erbe

This month's theme over at TWELVE BY TWELVE, chosen by the talented KRISTIE SERRA PHOTOGRAPHY,   is "grounded".  I had been struggling to decide what I wanted to blog about for this month... and then it came to me.

Five years and one week ago, I gave birth to the most beautiful, 8lb 10oz bundle of pink you've ever seen in your life.  My sweet Kalia Reese.  And in that moment, I was a mom.

And then I blinked... and she turned FIVE.  I am so proud of the amazing girl she is growing into.  She is kind and thoughtful and adores her friends.  She is scared of the dark and hates carrots.  She wants to be a paramedic and a zoo keeper when she grows up.  She loves school and has recently started sounding words out and reading on her own.  She loves makeup, getting pedicures and wearing maxi dresses.  Her favorite color is Pink.  And Lavender.  And Frozen Blue.

This year I took my sweet, sea loving mermaid girl to the beach for her birthday pictures this year.  It only seemed fitting for her right now.  We searched for mermaid treasure in the mangrove trees and picked sea grapes.  We played on the boogie board and counted the snails crawling on the driftwood.   I love watching her explore and find new things.  I love that everything is so magical to her.  I hope that never fades.  She is the silliest, the sassiest, the sweetest and the smartest girl.  She's an incredible big sister and loves her family so hard.

Becoming a mom has been the most incredible, the most difficult, the most REWARDING thing I have ever done in my life.  I have never been so happy... or so tired.  And one thing that I can always count on both my girls for, is keeping me grounded.

Next up in the Blog Circle is the incredible TIFFANY WALENSKY PHOTOGRAPHY.
