L Turns One | Tampa Bay Childrens Photographer

There is something super exciting about being pregnant with one of your best friends.  Until they up and move several states away.  It's still exciting, but not as exciting as it would have been if they had STAYED 15 minutes away from you.  ::insert sad face here::

Fast forward about a year and a half & THEY ARE BACK!!!! Not 15 minutes, but BACK IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!!! WOOT WOOT!!! 

I wasn't around for their maternity pictures, or their newborn pictures.... but you best believe I got sweet baby Logan for his ONE YEAR pictures!!! Big brother Canon was one of my very first cake smashes years ago!  Since it had been a few years since we shot some family pictures, we met up at the beach before the cake smash for some shots.  Poor baby Logan was feeling a little under the weather and we weren't really able to get him on his own (at the beach)... but you best believe we got him smiling and on his own once we put a cake down in front of him! 

These cake smash blog posts make me so hungry.  

I'm off to find a snack somewhere.

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOOOOOOOOOVE me a good cake smash.  And when my very own little firecracker is turning one you better believe that we are going to SMASH. SOME. CAKE! I met up with Brooke from HAMILTON CREEK PHOTOGRAPHY & Kate from KATE BOGGS PHOTOGRAPHY early one morning and fed my sweet baby girl some cake for breakfast.

A Turns One! | Tampa Bay Childrens Photographer

I met up with the L family at Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa on a beautiful Sunday morning.   I have known Momma L for a few years.  You may recognize them from their family pictures a couple years ago... and S's first birthday pictures from a couple years before that! This time, it was A's turn!!! Time for his FIRST birthday pictures!!! 

I was so excited that the whole family came along & that the girls got in some of the pictures! I loved that sweet J was helping her brother get as messy as possible with that cake!! Big sisters are the best aren't they?? Can't wait to get them ALL behind the camera later this year for their family session!!  

this sweet little face... she makes me work for that smile.
and I mean WORK!
but there is NOTHING more satisfying, then when you GET that smile.
